Event Overview  

The Mechanical Engineering Department of JSPM held a successful MESA Inauguration and Fresher Party on 1st October 2024. The event marked the beginning of the activities for the academic year 2024-2025, and it was attended by students, faculty, and esteemed guests.  Chief Guest: The guest of honor was Mr. Utkarsh Konarde, the ex-MESA President from the 2022 batch, who shared his experiences and motivated the students.  Department Activities Speech: Shravani Korde, a TE Engineering student, gave an insightful speech on the various activities undertaken by the department during the academic year 2023-2024, highlighting the achievements and initiatives that contributed to the department's growth.  Go-Kart Team Presentation: The Go-Kart Team gave a detailed presentation on their recent project, focusing on the mechanical aspects of manufacturing and testing. Their presentation showcased the hard work and technical skills involved in building and testing the Go-Kart.  MESA Team Announcement: The faculty coordinator, Dr. Madhuri S. Deokar, announced the new MESA team for the academic year 2024-2025. The new MESA President, Bhasvraj Patil, and Vice-President, Tejas Redkar, delivered speeches outlining their plans and strategies to implement activities for the year.  Felicitation of the MESA Team: The MESA team for the academic year 2024-2025 was felicitated by Dr. M.A. Kumbhalkar (HOD, Mechanical Engineering), Dr. M.M. Sardeshmukh (Director, JSPM NTC), and Dr. S.A. Choudhari (Dean of Engineering and HOD, Civil Department).  Wall Magazine and MESA Room Inauguration: Along with the MESA inauguration, the Wall Magazine and MESA Room were also inaugurated. Prof. S.A. Khare, who prepared the Wall Magazine, was acknowledged for his efforts as the Magazine Coordinator. The magazine showcases various technical and creative works from students, and its inauguration marked a significant moment of pride for the department.  Anchoring: The event was smoothly anchored by Vaishnavi and Rajat, who kept the audience engaged throughout.  Felicitation of Toppers: The academic toppers of the department were felicitated by the same esteemed members. Their hard work and dedication were appreciated, and they were encouraged to continue excelling in their studies.  Address by HOD and Director: Dr. M.A. Kumbhalkar, HOD of Mechanical Engineering, addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of overall growth, both academically and personally, during their time at the institution. Dr. M.M. Sardeshmukh, Director of JSPM NTC, motivated the students with an inspiring speech, urging them to focus on innovation, teamwork, and developing practical skills to succeed in the future. Vote of Thanks: The vote of thanks was delivered by Swayam, expressing gratitude to all the guests, faculty, students, and staff for their contributions to making the event a success.  Fresher Party: Following the formal event, a Fresher Party was organized for the Direct Second Year (DSE) students and Second Year (SE) students. Kshitija Padal and her team addressed the freshers, welcoming them to the department and encouraging them to make the most of their time in college, both academically and socially.  The event concluded with lively interaction among the students and faculty, marking the beginning of a new academic year filled with enthusiasm and promise.
