Engineering graduates are expected to be employable and ready with a balance of technical knowledge in addition to the relevant skills required in the workplace and must be self motivated. Self motivation for all these is started at department level from second year of engineering. In regular time table one slot is allotted for Self Learning Lab (SSL) where students come and learn to develop their own knowledge and ability.The use of SLL in teaching learning process is to attempt a ifferent level pedagogy for marching to develop self knowledge. This makes magnificent experience for students and institution to promote self-learning and help the students to gain knowledge at own learning pace. Goal •To give creative abilities of the students to the next level like self studies, virtual practical’s, live project work and give learning adventures fueled by their own imagination and ambition. •To enhance the knowledge by providing technical videos like NPTEL, You Tube, competitive exam material and the material where engineers can serve their abilities. •To encourage students to work together in an environment that will help them to develop the different skills necessary to thrive in a 21st century.
